Volunteers Make a Difference

Amador Pines Landowners Association (APLO) depends heavily on volunteers to meet the needs of our community.  It doesn’t matter if you’re new to the neighborhood, been here for many years, live here year round, spend summers or winters here, or just visit now and then – there is always something that needs to be done. There are administrative functions that keep the association running smoothly and there are lots of outdoor needs for every skill level. From pruning and repairs to driving a snow plow or patching a road – there’s a place for you. Check with APLO and see where you can fit in.

ARCD Chipping Program

The Amador Resource Conservation District offers a FREE Neighborhood and Community Chipping Program for residents of Amador County. Landowners create piles alongside their driveway or roadside, submit a Request for Service, and the ARCD will send contractors out to chip the material, free of charge. Volunteers care for the creek walk and pond area. It’s a great place for some quiet time or a picnic.

To help prevent fires, keep the roads clear and maintain a nice community, volunteers are always out clearing brush and maintaining the roads.
