To clarify ACART does NOT pick up animals in the event of a disaster (they shelter and care the them) – the Evac Teams of Amador does pick up animals – large and small.
It is helpful to them if you preregister your animals so if ETA is dispatched (Sheriff/OES does that) they will know where you are, etc. all of their information is on their website OR call 209-419-1002.
ETA members are certified DSW (Disaster Service Workers) with the Amador Sheriff's office under their Search & Rescue.
We require our members to be certified in a variety of ways: FEMA, Wildland Fire and Traffic Incident Management Certifications to name a few.
